How do I add an embedded player into my post?

When you are playing a video, there will be some HTML code near the bottom of the page, entitled “Embed this video.”

In order to add video to your blog, simply copy this code and paste it directly into the HTML of your blog post.

I tried to embed my player, but all I get is a post with a bunch of code in it. What gives?

Many blogging platforms will default to a rich text (a.k.a. WYSIWYG) editor. In order to post your code correctly, you must edit the actual HTML. Most of the major blog platforms allow you to edit the HTML. Simply cut and paste the code in that area and you’ll be good to go!

How do I embed a selection of a video?

We’ll soon have an easy way to make this happen. For now, though, here’s a simple workaround:

After making your selection, copy the URL that’s generated in the “Link to clip” field, and then paste that into your browser’s address field. That will load a new video play page – which will play your clip – and you can embed that code (located in the embed field under the video) right into your blog.

But we agree that this is overly complicated — check back soon for a fix!
